Shingle Street Programme
A coastal coaching walk on one of Suffolk's most rugged and quietly magical beaches.
The story
The white line of hope
Shingle Street is a wild, lesser-known beach on the Suffolk coast. Across its pebbles runs a thin white line of shells, made by two women when they were unwell with cancer. Both are now in remission, and the local community continues to maintain the line.
I use that white line as a powerful metaphor: a boundary between what has been and what is possible. Together, we cross it.

Three sessions by the sea
The programme unfolds over three coaching sessions, each using the landscape to unlock fresh thinking.
Navigating change
Understand where you are now, what has brought you here and what you are ready to leave behind.
Embracing new horizons
Use the wide horizon to explore what could be. Dream without the usual constraints and begin to name what matters.
Crafting your professional identity
Shape your next chapter with clarity — whether that means a new role, a new direction or a whole new way of working.
Horizons, pebbles and the tide
We use the natural features of the beach as coaching tools:
- The horizon becomes a place to imagine what could be.
- Pebbles are picked up, named and thrown away — a physical release of what no longer serves you.
- The tide washing in represents fresh opportunities and new energy.
- Optional cold-water immersion is available for those who want to add breath, courage and reset to the experience.

“Julie helped me turn a difficult and frustrating job search into interviews and, eventually, my dream job.”
